If you are missing the Found Footage Genre of Horror film then we might have your pick me up. The Follower is an independent film that explores the found footage of a supernatural investigation. Young Youtuber David Baker is invited to Carol’s home where she lives alone to investigate the supernatural occurrences that have been plaguing the home. As the investigation begins, David begins to discover that things aren’t what they seem.

The Follower Official Trailer 1 HD (2017) - Kévin Mendiboure Movie
David Baker is set to explore the supernatural occurrences in Carol’s home by recording his stay but Carol reveals one crucial detail. He is not to record on one level of the home. It is imperative that he stay out of that level or something catastrophic may occur. Carol is hiding something and David will not stop recording until he documents everything. But what will happen to David if the truth catches up to him first?

The film captures a lot of real moments that add suspense to the overall story. David seems way over his head but treks on like any other Youtuber would. Nothing seems to stop the young man from capturing great footage from what the trailer reveals. The sudden camera turns, blurred focus, and the shaky camera gives this film the authenticity to be categorized as a found footage film.

This film was also shot in a small amount of time and I would say they did one hell of a good job in that little time. The Followers looks like a blast from the spirit world!

Carol’s home looks fantastic! Every piece of furniture, picture, and relic gives the illusion of a time capsule. The outside world changed immensely but the home seems to be isolated and frozen. Haunted houses never go out of style and The Follower proves this. This film was shot in a small amount of time and I would say they did one hell of a good job in that time.
