IFC Midnight has just announced it now has all U.S. rights to the Toronto Midnight Madness over-the-top hit BASKIN, a Turkish language horror thriller that was directed by Can Evrenol.

The film was produced by Muge Buyuktalas of MO Films and executive produced by Todd Brown of XYZ Films and Mike Hostench, and tells the story of five cops, working the graveyard shift in the middle of nowhere, who are dispatched to investigate a disturbance. Isolated and without back up they find themselves confronting a terrible evil, a squalid and blood-soaked den of ritual led by The Father, who will plunge them ever deeper down the rabbit hole and into the very mouth of madness.

No word yet on a release date, so we’ll just have to be satisfied with the bits we can glimpse in the few clips that have made their way online.
