Nicholas Cage has been on an interesting upswing of late. After winning Oscar gold for Leaving Las Vegas, he began taking action roles, took some time off, then came back to do pretty much whatever delivered a check. He’s become a meme, he’s been attacked by bees, and he’s even a part of the Marvel Universe. Now, thankfully, his knack for cult cinema and fearlessness may be paying off as RLJE Films released the trailer for MANDY, which debuted at Sundance and Cannes this year.

In the Pacific Northwest in 1983, outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance, laced with fire.

MANDY - Official Trailer
The buzz around Mandy, written by Panos Cosmatos and Aaron Stewart-Ahn, Directed by Panos Cosmatos, has been building. With a coveted premiere at Sundance kicking off the word of mouth, this insane-looking revenge pic promises to be interesting at the very least. Mandy will be released September 14th, 2018.

About the Author

From humble beginnings as a bisexual art kid who drank more coffee than a 40-year-old author, Remy now holds a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University and is a proud member of the HorrorBuzz team (and still a bisexual art kid who drinks too much coffee). They were first introduced to the world of horror and camp when their grandma showed them The Rocky Horror Picture Show at age 5, and never looked back. When they're not writing cartoons or working on movies, one can spot them in various clubs around Los Angeles performing very, very self-deprecating standup comedy. Howdy ho!
