Continuing the story of the viral video that kills viewers within seven days, we see that the killer clip has evolved, crossing over into the digital age of YouTube and viral videos just offered the new teaser poster and trailer to Rings. Helmed by F. Javier Gutierrez and written by Jacob Aaron Estes, Akiva Goldsman and David Loucka the pic stars Laura Wiggins, Aimee Teagarden, and Johnny Galecki.
The new chapter will follow a young woman who becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…
