The official trailer for Breaker’s upcoming sci-fi thriller PERFECT has been released, starring Garrett Wareing (Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine), Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and directed by Eddie Alcazar. Perfect will be released in NY on May 17 and in LA on May 24 with an exclusive VOD launch on Breaker.io on June 21.

Produced and scored by Flying Lotus and executive-produced by Steven Soderbergh, Perfect introduces Garrett Wareing as an emotionally-troubled young man. His mother (Abbie Cornish) sends him to a clinic, where modernist serenity whispers soothing promises of perfection. By planting plug-and-play characteristics directly into his own body, he is relieved of his dark, twisted visions, but his body pays the price for purity of mind. The film has become a festival favorite from writer and director Eddie Alcazar, landing a spot on Filmmaker’s 25 to Watch.

Perfect - Official Theatrical Trailer #2

It’s strange how rare it is to find a trailer these days that leaves an air of mystery and doesn’t tell the entire plot of the film in under 2 minutes, so in that respect, Perfect has already succeeded. The film looks visually stunning with some Bladerunner-like designs and effects, and given Soderbergh’s body of work as a director, the standards for Perfect will definitely be set high. (Makes sense for a film literally called “Perfect.”)

About the Author

From humble beginnings as a bisexual art kid who drank more coffee than a 40-year-old author, Remy now holds a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University and is a proud member of the HorrorBuzz team (and still a bisexual art kid who drinks too much coffee). They were first introduced to the world of horror and camp when their grandma showed them The Rocky Horror Picture Show at age 5, and never looked back. When they're not writing cartoons or working on movies, one can spot them in various clubs around Los Angeles performing very, very self-deprecating standup comedy. Howdy ho!
