Epic Pictures and Dread are gearing up for the World Premiere of the sci-fi horror-thriller, AUTOMATION. With Hollywood Horrorfest this weekend, we have an exclusive look at stills from the film.

Auto has been hired by Alert Insulation to test robot efficiency in the workplace, but when he uncovers a plan to replace most of their staff (including Auto himself) with the next generation of robots, Auto takes murderous action to prevent his own destruction.

AUTOMATION is directed and co-written by Garo Setian, co-written by Rolfe Kanefsky (The Black Room) and Matthew L. Schaffer (Dirty Lies), and stars Elissa Dowling (Rootwood), Sadie Katz (Bus Party to Hell), Parry Shen (Hatchet 1 – 3), Graham Skipper (Sequence Break), and Sarah French (Art of the Dead).

“The LA Horror community is one of the most vibrant and exciting group of film fans you will find anywhere,” says Setian. “We are beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to share our film with an enthusiastic audience at the Hollywood Horrorfest! Thank you so much to the judges who selected AUTOMATION for this premiere screening. We are very excited and can’t wait to share the movie going experience with you!”

Hungry Monster Entertainment, comprised of husband and wife duo, Garo and Anahit Setian, partnered up with producers Mike Elliott and Greg Holstein (3 From Hell), Joseph P. Genier (Teen Wolf) and Rob Kerchner (Razortooth) of Capital Arts Entertainment, Esther Goodstein (Slay Belles), Dan Bowen (Alaska: The Final Frontier), Ted Smith (Guardian of the Realm), Robert Parigi (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), Allen Copeland (Untold Horror) and Charlie Klinakis.

About the Author

Ethan Allen was born and raised in the south bay (SoCal). At age 5 he was taken to the theater to see Halloween 2. Since that time he hasn’t been able to bite into an apple because of the fear of chomping down into a razor blade. At age 12 he went to his first haunt (Knotts Scary Farm) and only has missed a handful of years since then. Ethan has an unhealthy obsession with Elvira, 80’s slashers, and universal monsters which is borderline creepy.
