Warner Bros. Pictures has just announced its latest cinematic endeavor with M. Night Shyamalan titled Trap slated for a nationwide release on August 9, 2024, and will premiere internationally on August 1, 2024. We have the trailer that all but gives everything away here. M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap tells the tale of a father and his teenage daughter who attend a pop concert, only to discover that they are unwittingly part of a sinister and dark event. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, and rising music star Saleka Shyamalan, alongside veterans Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The familial tie adds a layer of intrigue, as Saleka, daughter of M. Night Shyamalan, brings her musical talent to the big screen under her father’s direction.

Cinematography by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, known for his work on “Call Me by Your Name,” and production design by Debbie de Villa of The Hating Game fame, Trap is visually set to be as compelling as its narrative. Edited by Noëmi Preiswerk with music by Herdĭs Stefănsdŏttir, the film also enjoys the creative expertise of music supervisor Susan Jacobs and costume designer Caroline Duncan, both celebrated for their work in Old.
