Gravitas Ventures has announced they have acquired the VOD rights for Steve Balderson’s Hell Town, which is already a veteran of the festival circuit having won multiple awards for acting, directing, and screenwriting at Colorado Horror-Con and the Crimson Scream Horror Film Festival. Hell Town is presented as the three surviving episodes of the titular series described as a “sadistic twist on Masterpiece Theater” hosted by Debbie Rochon, star of the upcoming Model Hunger.

A horror spin on the teen soap opera genre, Hell Town follows the lives of a group of high school seniors wrought with angst as they navigate a spiderweb of infatuation, backstabbing, and catfights as they try to establish their place in the pecking order; and as if that wasn’t enough drama, there is also a killer on the loose! Now the teens have to balance their school and social lives with trying to not become the next victim as students are being picked off one by one in a variety of sadistic ways. Now the bonds that hold this small town together will be pushed to their limits, as everyone from jock to geek to prom queen becomes a suspect in these gruesome crimes.

Hell Town stars Krysten Day, Amanda Deibert, Owen Lawless, Ben Windholz, Jennifer Grace and Pleasant Gehman; a digital and cable release is planned for the end of summer. Be sure to check out the trailer below and revel in its glorious, campy melodrama.
