Our good friends at Anchor Bay Entertainment and Dimension Films have just released the first clip from the upcoming horror flick Clown, and it’s a doozie. Playing on the all-too common fear of the white-faced jesters, Clown is produced by Horror master Eli Roth that tells the story of a regular dad, transformed by one kind act into a ravaging monster out for human flesh. When a loving father who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son’s sixth birthday, only to later discover that the costume – red nose and wig included– will not come off and his own personality changes in a horrific fashion. To break the curse of the evil outfit, the father must make grim choices with his own family facing danger.

In select theaters and available June 17, 2016, from Dimension Films, Anchor Bay Entertainment Directed by Jon Watts, written by Christopher Ford and Jon Watts, Clown stars Peter Stormare, Laura Allen, Andy Powers and Elizabeth Whitmere. Check out the abhorrent trailer below.

Now then, who wants to dive into the ball pit? From the looks of this trailer they are really going all the way with the blood, gore and dismemberment and aren’t afraid to hack up a few kids in the process. That’s the kind of horror we like. The kind that is unafraid of taboo subjects like kids in peril or evil killer clowns trying to eat people alive. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for us in the playground.
