We are psyched to share with you the trailer premiere of the psychological thriller AMI from IndustryWorks Studios.  The pic that will be fielding international offers at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival has a pretty creepy gimmick.

Synopsis: Young Cassie comes across a discarded cell phone with the latest artificial intelligence on it called AMI. Cassie customizes the AI to sound like her deceased mother which soon fulfills the void in Cassie’s life. As their relationship deepens, the nurturing and seemingly caring AI drives Cassie to perform heinous acts of murder that AMI convinces her are totally justifiable.

A.M.I. (2019) | Trailer #9 | Debs Howard | Philip Granger | Samuel Robert Muik | Havana Guppy
So, yeah, we are sold. the whole voice recognition/replication thing is already a bit weird. Factor in the idea that it could sound like a dead loved one? YIKES.
