The trailer for the anticipated ABIGAIL has been released. Directed by Radio Silence duo, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for their electrifying contributions to modern horror through Ready or Not and the Scream series, ABIGAIL weaves a tale of greed, innocence twisted, and supernatural dread.
The plot unfolds with a group of would-be criminals who kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a formidable underworld figure, hoping for a quick and lucrative payday from a $50 million ransom. Tasked with merely overseeing the girl in an isolated mansion until dawn, the captors face a night of unimaginable horror as they begin to vanish one by one. Trapped with no escape, they soon realize the chilling truth: their hostage is far from ordinary.
The ABIGAIL cast includes Melissa Barrera (“Scream,” “In the Heights”), Dan Stevens (“Legion,” “Gaslit”), and Kathryn Newton (“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “Freaky”), among others, who find themselves entangled in a harrowing fight for survival.
The film was written by Stephen Shields (“The Hole in the Ground”) and Guy Busick (“Scream” franchise, “Ready or Not”), and produced by William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt for Project X Entertainment, alongside Tripp Vinson and Radio Silence’s Chad Vilella.
Abigail arrives in theaters on April 19.
