Not too long ago, I saw SAFEHOUSE ’77, an incredibly well-done immersive spy thriller that I had an absolute blast with. I laughed, I learned, I became a spy, and I was shocked by its ending. For months, we’ve been teased by Spy Brunch LLC, the team behind it, that a follow-up is coming…and that time is now!

SAFEHOUSE ’82 will premiere November 6th for a limited run of only 16 performances (so you had better jump on it while it is hot). Taking place 5 years after the events of the original, the show will immerse the audience into the times and atmosphere once again, but this time, during the 80s. Seriously, the first show did such an amazing job of making us feel like we were in the 1970s that I was slightly disappointed when I walked outside back into the 2000s.

However, the show always had the same ending, no matter what happened. But this time, audiences’ members will be able to actually make choices to affect the outcome of the show. The fates of characters, the different endings, all will be determined by the choices made throughout the mission. How cool is that?

The plot of SAFEHOUSE ’82 draws heavily on true events from the CIA’s history, and details of espionage tactics and technology will be incorporated into the interactive elements of the show, all with the goal of making audiences feel like they are truly inside a high-tension spy film. Also, while Safehouse ’77 utilized a system of pre-assigned audience tracks, Safehouse ’82 will provide guests with a higher level of agency, creating a “sandbox” environment in which they are often free to move between different rooms, characters, and experiences.

SAFEHOUSE ’82 also features returning SAFEHOUSE ’77 cast members Katie Rediger, Katelyn Schiller, Shoshanna Green, Ashley Jones, and Nick Rheinwald-Jones, along with new addition Lauren Hayes.

Tickets to Safehouse ’82 are $125 and include light snacks and up to three alcoholic beverages. A very limited number of VIP tickets are available at $175; these tickets include a very special one-on-one experience that will take place during the week of October 21, at another location.

General admission tickets will go on sale Saturday, September 28th at 10 AM.
