After a night of binge drinking, what would you do if you found a dead body in your apartment? That’s the story that BLOWFISH: A Horrific Immersive Experience, aims to tell us starting on June 19th.

Brian and Patrick awaken one sunny morning in Orange County after a night of heavy drinking. The two friends struggle to remember the evening prior, but terror ensues when they find a mutilated body has been stuffed into their fridge. The protagonists, and the audience, work together through terrifying steps of trying to deduce what happened the night before.

What strikes me as interesting is that there are three seating options for this show, which determines the level of immersion you are looking for. You can be heavily involved, moderately involved, and a few seats that are available for people who don’t wish to be involved at all, but rather want to watch the show as a regular play. You can choose which you’d prefer at the door.

Blowfish contains adult themes such as violence, profanity, desecration of a corpse, and torture. It is not suitable for children under the age of 15.

The show runs at The Lyric Hyperion Theater and opensJune 19th and runs every Tuesday and Wednesday through July 3rd. Performances start at 10pm. Tickets are $20.
