Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre has scheduled auditions for a brand new show entitled Blood Alley. The Underground’s all-new horror-theatre spectacular will be in the great Grand Guignol, Theater of Cruelty and Butoh traditions, centering around the memoirs of a forgotten street alley haunted by the longing, beauty and unspeakable events of its past. Sounds pretty good.
AUDITIONS will be held next THURSDAY FEB 25 @ 6pm and SATURDAY FEB 27 @ 4pm
at ZJU Theatre Group, 4850 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood.
Helmed by ZJUT Alum, Elif Savas and Zombie himself, the production depicts ”BLOOD ALLEY”,a cursed place of no mercy, inhabited by a hundred-year accumulation of apparitions, phantasms and sub-breeds that desperately await their next victim. Very much a blood relative of their signature show, Urban Death, Blood Alley promises to be bold, terrifying, and yet intensely moving.

DAISY [Female, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – A beautiful prostitute that carries the burden of her past, driven to crime by her surroundings.
KARL [Male, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – An abuser, and merciless bully of the neighborhood; comes to his senses yet far too late.
SAMANTHA [Female, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – A loving yet terminally disturbed young mother, commits infanticide.
JACOB [Male, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – A fancy, dandy killer, fashionable and well-educated man with dangerous fantasies.
BLOOD PHANTOM [Female or Male, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – an evil shape-shifter of ghosts, demons, murderers; a morbid yet romantic figure that seduces the dead and the dying.
PASSIONATE LOVERS [Female or Male, ages 21-49, all ethnicities] – 2 young lovers that throw caution to the wind, unaware of the dangers that await them.
