Have you ever had the craving for human flesh? Do you ever feel a little dead inside? Universal Studios Hollywood is casting a wide net in search of walkers and human survivors for its upcoming new permanent attraction based on AMC’s The Walking Dead opening this summer. Everyone is welcome to try out as this is an open audition for 100 male and female actors will be cast from the thousands expected to audition and should arrive prepared to channel their inner “Dead Inside.”
Universal Hollywood has consistently been the champion of the year-round, haunted walkthrough attraction. The Walking Dead will be a real-life interpretation of AMC’s award-winning television series. For years, guests enjoyed the classic monsters in Universal’s House of Horrors which ran from 2007 to October 31st, 2014. In order to really elevate its authenticity, Universal Studios Hollywood is partnering with “The Walking Dead’s” creative team, including visionary executive producer and director, Greg Nicotero and his special effects company, KNB Efx.
We also learned recently at Wondercon that this new walkthrough attraction will have an unprecedented level of detail and realism, heretofore unseen in the walkthroughs at any Universal theme park in the world.
Nicotero’s team, responsible for masterfully creating the show’s realistic decaying walkers, will construct prosthetics, utilize original molds and painstakingly apply paint and detailing to the attraction walkers.

Energetic male and female performers to portray various types of performers for The Walking Dead® Attraction

Scareactors:
- Performers will be asked to do some improvisation and demonstrate “scare-abilities”.
- Please come dressed to move.
- Current headshot and resume preferred.
- Performance spaces may include one or more of the following: tight spaces, darkness, strobe lighting and fog effects. All performers will wear masks and should not be claustrophobic.
- Height in ranges of 5’6 to 6’5”.
