Let’s face it; a lot of us have been silently preparing for the eventual zombie apocalypse. We all know it’s just a matter of time, right? But how prepared are you really? What would happen if the Zombies showed up to your door right this very second…how would you defend yourself?

That seems to be the question ARZombi is asking, an augmented reality game that allows you to bring the action right into your own home. Using your smart phone, the game turns your doors and windows into AR portals, and tasks you with boarding them up to keep the undead masses out. You’ll also have to find the weapons laying around to beat back the horde, and increase your health by sitting down and having a slice of pizza.

What makes this unique is that YOU get to pick the room in your house that you defend, and the game will apparently map it out to make the AR work with your surroundings. That is pretty damn awesome, if you ask me.

At the moment, the game only has a survival mode, where wave after wave of zombies continue to attack. A story-mode and multiplayer-mode are currently being developed for future releases, along with changes and upgrades to keep the game fresh.

With the most detailed zombies in an AR game to date, ARZombi is one of the first realistic first- person shooters on ARKit.
