We are only a few days into 2020 and the horror film lineup continues to proliferate. Leading the way is Arrow with their newest releases for the new year. Arrow Video has petrifying plans to restore and re-release two terrifying tales at the end of this month! Edge of the Axe and Black Angel are set to be released on Blu-Ray January 28, 2020. Edge of the Axe includes 2k restoration of the cult classic, Spanish and English language version, and audio commentary. Black Angel includes a brand new restoration of the film and film appreciation commentary by film historian Neil Sinyard, among several other features.

Both films will be released on Blu-Ray January 28, 2020.

Black Angel Synopsis: When singer Mavis is slain in her apartment, the men in her life become suspects. There is Martin, her musician ex-husband, nursing a broken heart; there is the shady nightclub owner Marko and there is Kirk, the adulterer who found his mistress’s body and fled. When Kirk is convicted of the crime, his long-suffering wife Catherine joins forces with the heartbroken Martin to uncover the truth…

Edge of the Axe Synopsis: The rural community of Paddock County is being rocked by the crazed exploits of an axe-wielding psychopath, who stalks the night in a black trenchcoat and mask. As the victims pile up, the authorities attempt to keep a lid on the situation, whilst computer whizz-kid Gerald and girlfriend Lillian seek to unmask the killer before the town population reaches zero.
