Last year, the Shine On Collective blew us all away with The Truth, their debut, immersive show at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Since then, they have taken us on a wild ride through the instability of a young woman’s love and into the wilds of Irish folklore. This year for Fringe, they seem to be venturing in the world of fairy tales with Sweet Dreams: The Prologue.

This show will be the first in their next series of shows, all connecting together to tell a complete story. Shine On does an amazing job of building worlds for their shows, so we are very excited to visit this one over the course of the next few months!

Their press release for the show is below:

“Hush-a-bye, don’t you cry…”

Once upon a time there lived a young woman who dreamed of prince charming and true love’s kiss. But venture too far into dreams and you might not come back. Sweet Dreams: The Prologue is the first chapter in a series of immersive productions about a missing girl and the haze beyond reality. Will you end up too far into the dream world yourself?

From the production team behind last year’s dark and surreal immersive piece, “Devoted,” comes this fully immersive, interactive production. Shine On Collective’s “Sweet Dreams: The Prologue” is the first in a series of shows about the strange dreams of a missing woman. The “Sweet Dreams” series will continue throughout the year with a preview at the Midsummer Scream convention in Long Beach in July. The final chapter, when the dreams become more intense, will open in the fall.

“Sweet Dreams: The Prologue” is designed to accommodate one audience member at a time. The entire performance takes place in a cargo van and the location for each performance is subject to change daily. Locations for each performance will be announced by 6:30 p.m. on the day of each show at ShineOnCollective.com.

This is Shine On Collective’s second year at The Hollywood Fringe Festival. For more information on our productions, visit ShineOnCollective.com.

Tickets for the show go on sale May 1st, along with all the other Fringe shows. You can find them at: http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/4434

Grab them quick, because they will definitely disappear before you know it.
