The horror genre gets a Western twist in A Town Called Purgatory, a new film brought to us by Ken Arnold and Dan De Luca, the innovative minds behind the festival favorite The Night Watchmen. Following their success, the duo returns with a narrative set in the eerie aftermath of the Civil War. The film stars Arnold as Beau Riffen, a principled Yankee Lawman, and De Luca as Cody Parnum, a haunted ex-Confederate tracker. Together, they embark on a chilling quest to capture notorious train robbers, a journey that leads them to the mysteriously deserted town of Purgatory.

As they navigate the ghostly silence of Purgatory, the lawmen encounter a lone trapper and a prisoner with dark secrets, setting the stage for a thrilling confrontation with an ancient evil known as The Skinwalker. The story weaves a compelling tapestry of trust, betrayal, and survival against a backdrop of supernatural dread.

Fresh off winning the Best Horror Feature at the Garden State Film Festival, A Town Called Purgatory is set to captivate audiences at its upcoming screening from April 19-21 at Creature Feature Weekend in Gettysburg, PA. Both Arnold and De Luca will be present to showcase their latest work. The film’s journey will continue with a screening at Monsterpalooza in Pasadena from May 31 to June 2, promising fans an opportunity to meet the stars and delve deeper into its haunted Western realm.
