The Boysenberry Festival has kicked off at Knott’s Berry Farm! There is a scary amount of food to try there along with shopping through festival arts and crafts, new entertainment in the Birdcage Theatre, Boardwalk,  and on the Calico Stage. That’s not to mention the world-class rides including the Timber Mountain Log Ride, Hang Time, and Knott’s Berry Tales. Yes, this is the birthplace of the theme park haunt. But throughout the year they have plenty of other fun things to do!

A visit to the Knott's Boysenberry Festival
During the festival, guests will have the option of purchasing a tasting card for $50 that will allow them to enjoy 6 Tasting Card menu items. But there will also be additional items throughout the park available for purchase ala-carte from a menu that will feature over 75 unique boysenberry-inspired creations.

Ghost Town

The first stop was Ghost Town where we hit the food stands and grabbed our favorite foods. Of course, we got the meatballs, as one should, but we also tried the sausage trio on polenta and the boysenberry Elote. While Jeff devoured the Elote with a ravenous gusto, Norm tried the sausage and polenta. The sausage was fine, but the polenta seemed like it needed some salt and perhaps just a hint of boysenberry aside from color.

We next strolled the shops and wandered a bit.

Boardwalk

Onto Boardwalk where we stopped by the Factory Store for a look at the Tied Up In Knott’s art exhibit.

Camp Snoopy

We then wandered through Fiesta Village and Camp Snoopy for a look-see at the park decor.

Boysenberry Lane

A new addition to the Boysenberry Festival is Boysenberry Lane. Situated near Ghostrider, this extension of park space is familiar to haunt-goers. But, instead of heading into Waxworks, or Dark Entities, we have this light-hearted lane of food, photo-ops, and more merch. The scent of Boysenberries is in the air here and we get to see some of the themeing that Knott’s has invested in to make even backstage look show ready.

There is simply too much to eat in one trip, much less experience. So, we will surely be back for more. Again, The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival runs a full extra week this year starting March 18, operating daily through April 24, 2022, and is included with admission.
