Grab your popcorn and a seat curbside, The Disneyland Resort will be revealing their brand new parade “Magic Happens” on February 28, 2020! The words “Magic” and “Disney” are one in the same and “Magic Happens” celebrates those moments of magic that only Disney can create! At the heart of the parade Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with their pals, celebrate these memorable magical moments in Disney and Pixar Animation.

The new parade is much more than just a standard “walk down the street and wave” routine. “We’ve designed the ‘Magic Happens’ floats so that characters, scenes and surprises are revealed a little at a time, making each float a journey of discovery” said David Duffy, creative director for Disney Live Entertainment. So what happens directly in front of you may be a bit different every time you view the parade.

“Magic Happens” has something for everyone. Expect to see some old favorites from films such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Sword in the Stone. The parade will also feature moments from recent films such as Moana, The Princess and the Frog, Coco, and Frozen 2. Heavy emphasis has been placed on the artistry and detail of each float, making them moving pieces of art. Each tells a story while highlighting that theme of magic and evoking a sense of wonder and  happiness.

While the rest of us have been busy in the virtual queue line for Rise of the Resistance, the Disney creative and entertainment team has been making a little magic of their own in order to bring these moments to life on a grand scale. Prepare to see jaw dropping floats and never before seen costumes, and hear a brand new musical score featuring Todrick Hall, and to feel just a dash of pixie dust in the air. Want a sneak preview?
