Legendary Comics, Karloff Enterprises, and Rocketship Entertainment have teamed up to launch a Kickstarter campaign for a new graphic novel double bill featuring Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein Starring Boris Karloff and Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Starring Bela Lugosi. Backers of the campaign will have the chance to get a one-time-only 2-book set tier.

Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's creature and Bela Lugosi as Dracula

Frankenstein Starring Boris Karloff is a faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic horror novel. The graphic novel features an all-new original design of actor Boris Karloff reimagined as Frankenstein’s creature, and it’s produced with the cooperation of Sara Karloff, the late actor’s only child. Executive consultant on the project, Sara Karloff, expressed her excitement to work with Legendary Comics, particularly after seeing their fantastic work on the Dracula graphic novel.

The Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Starring Bela Lugosi graphic novel won the 2020 Rondo Awards. With the cooperation of Lugosi LLC, this award-winning graphic novel will be re-offered as a one-time-only 2-book set Kickstarter tier for this special double bill. The creative team behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Starring Bela Lugosi, artists and designers Kerry Gammill and El Garing, are also part of the Frankenstein Starring Boris Karloff graphic novel.

Robert Napton, Senior Vice President, Comics at Legendary Entertainment, said, “The faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula starring the likeness of Bela Lugosi was so well received, the natural next step was to team with Sara Karloff and Karloff Enterprises to bring an all-new vision of the creature to life featuring the iconic face of actor Boris Karloff.”

The Kickstarter campaign will run for one month, concluding on April 1, 2023. Don’t miss out on the chance to add this new double bill graphic novel to your collection, and get a one-time-only 2-book set tier featuring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, two iconic horror actors.
