Horror fans, hold on tight! Get ready for a rollercoaster of fear and terror with the release of Caitlin Marceau’s two newest books. Marceau, the Quebec-based author, is well-known for her works that deliver a combination of shock, tension, and disgust in the most captivating way. Her newest additions to the horror genre, But A Dream and I’m Having Regrets, are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

But A Dream is a dark reimagining of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and follows the story of four friends who go on a camping trip in the Canadian wilderness. Things quickly spiral out of control as they encounter a witch and discover the horrifying effects of her magic. Meanwhile, I’m Having Regrets explores the fear that comes from familial relationships and the consequences of trusting others too easily. The story follows a recently widowed mother who joins a local support group for the bereaved, only to uncover the sinister intentions of the group.

Marceau is an experienced author and lecturer who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. She’s an active member of the Horror Writers Association and has spoken at several Canadian conventions about genre literature. She has a wealth of works under her belt, including Palimpsest, Magnum Opus, and her debut novella, This Is Where We Talk Things Out. Her two upcoming works, A Blackness Absolute and her debut novel, It Wasn’t Supposed To Go Like This, are set to be published in 2023.

I’m Having Regrets will be released in July 2023, followed by But A Dream in December. Both books are available for pre-order on Amazon or through Hear Us Scream Press’ website.
