We adore everyone who visits us, friends and peers, alike, whether that be in person or on our website. As Uncle Fester–whoops, I mean Sam–says, “We Want YOU To Keep HorrorBuzz Creepy.” Our fans are the reason we have grown into a mecca for the best news, info, and events that the world of horror has to offer.

A few of you fine freaky folks have asked how you might be able to help with things here at HorrorBuzz.  To begin with, if you think you have what it takes to write, or contribute with your talents in some way, FILL OUT THIS FORM and apply to join the crew! We need help with writing movie reviews, book reviews, game reviews, press releases, we need help in scheduling and editing articles, we even need help in stretching out to states across the US to cover as much scary stuff as possible!

However, if you would like to simplify things and offer a one time or monthly gift to the site you would be helping us tremendously.  With a small donation of your choosing, you would be an honorary member of the HB crew and you would also help propel us to the top by donating to our Patreon HERE.

And if you still can’t do any of that, just keep on reading and join our social groups and feeds below. Our main goal is to provide our readers and fans with scary, fun experiences and letting you know how to be a smart shopper for scares. That being said, THANK YOU!!

 WHERE IS MY GIFT GOING?

Great question. Here is a comprehensive list of everything we have been able to accomplish in 2018 alone thanks to your help:

  1. We produced 961 articles in the past year, covering as much as we can in horror films, games, haunts, books, conventions, music, family-friendly events, and news.
  2. We had the opportunity to interview many of those involved.
  3. We shot hundreds of hours of videos, including Haunt Trackers, walkthroughs, and streaming video during live events and conventions throughout haunt season.
  4. We created quite the “buzz” at Midsummer Scream, an annual convention for all things horror and Halloween. But more specifically:
    1. Hosted the Screaming Room, a two-day short horror film festival with submissions from around the globe.
    2. Produced a panel on the LGBTQ community in horror, featuring guests including director/writer Sam Wineman and Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame.
    3. Created an interactive photo booth on the showroom floor.
    4. Held 9 Passport To Fear VIP events during the 2018 haunt season, including Knott’s Scary Farm, Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, Delusion, and the Winchester Mystery House.

AND 2019 WILL BE BIGGER
AND BETTER THAN EVER.

As we had mentioned in January we are already kinging things off with a bang. Right off the bat, we have been invited to cover the Sundance Film Festival. We are stoked.

First HorrorBuzzers Meetup!

Next up we will be starting the first ever HorroBuzz Monthly Meet-Up. After careful voting in the HorrorBuzzers Group on Facebook we have chosen to meet at The Cauldron in Buena Park on Sunday, February 10th at 5pm!

There will be more announcements coming too. But if you really want to stay in the know, sign up for THE BUZZ and join the Facebook group here.

Until March, UNPLEASANT DREAMS!

About the Author

From humble beginnings as a bisexual art kid who drank more coffee than a 40-year-old author, Remy now holds a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University and is a proud member of the HorrorBuzz team (and still a bisexual art kid who drinks too much coffee). They were first introduced to the world of horror and camp when their grandma showed them The Rocky Horror Picture Show at age 5, and never looked back. When they're not writing cartoons or working on movies, one can spot them in various clubs around Los Angeles performing very, very self-deprecating standup comedy. Howdy ho!
