While serving detention together, a group of teenage girls discovers one of them may possess supernatural powers. Intrigued, they follow her into the local woods (always a good idea), where they harness the energy of witches who were persecuted there hundreds of years ago. This energy allows them to make every dream, desire, and wish a reality. The girls form a coven and begin to reap the benefits of their new powers. But nothing is free and the newfound power comes at a deadly cost. Before long they find themselves under attack from one of their own who refuse to give up the good life without a fight. Sounds like your average high school experience…witches be crazy.
This latest film from Dark Sky Films stars Paget Brewster(Criminal Minds, Community), Holly Taylor(The Americans), Greg Finley(The Secret Life of the American Teenager), and is directed by Kyle Rankin(Infestation, Night of the Living Deb). THE WITCH FILES looks like a dramedy perfect for your Halloween movie to-watch list. It gives a real “Charmed meets Mean Girls” vibe.
