It’s finally here, The teaser trailer for “The Conjuring 2”. In this sequel to the 2013 film, “The Conjuring”, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) investigate the Enfield Poltergeist of London. James Wan returns to direct and has helped on screenplay and story. “”I’ve been working very heavily on the script, and the idea of continuing the saga of Ed and Lorraine Warren is actually very exciting. So the idea of going back to kind of nurture my baby that I created is part of the reason why I’m going back to do The Conjuring 2.” said Wan in a statement.

The Enfield Poltergeist is a series of propertied paranormal events that occurred in Brimsdown, Enfield, England from 1977 to 1979 involving two sisters, ages 11 and 13. According to the two children, things started when they heard knocking on walls, disembodied voices. Soon furniture began to move on its own, toys and rocks were thrown, and far more sinister, demonic voices were heard. During the actual investigation, Ed Warren claimed to have observed Janet, age 11, “sound asleep, levitating in midair”.

A popular story, this haunting gained considerable press coverage in British newspapers and has been the subject of books, featured in television documentaries, and horror films, not unlike the upcoming “The Conjuring 2”. The actual haunting is not without its share of skeptics however. Investigator, Joe Nickell has been an outspoken critic of the claims. Speaking of the Warren’s, Nickell stated that they were “notorious for exaggerating and even making up incidents in such cases, often transforming a “haunting” case into one of “demonic possession.”

Regardless of what you want to believe actually happened, you can rest assured that Wan and his team will deliver a chilling yarn. We are excited.
