Capstone’s Christian Mercuri announced today that Liam Neeson is set to star in Neil Jordan’s upcoming thriller, “The Riker’s Ghost”. The film is set to be produced by Parallel Film’s Alan Moloney, Endurance Media’s Steve Richards, and co-produced by Jake Katofsky and Susan Mullen with Rupert Wyatt serving as producer as well. Endurance Media is also financing the film.

This collaboration between Neeson, Jordan, and Moloney is a reunion of sorts, as they recently worked together on the mystery thriller “Marlowe”. Neeson and Richards have previously worked together on various hit titles such as “Non-Stop” and “Unknown”. The film is written by Sean O’Keefe, Brian Rudnick, and Jordan himself.

“The Riker’s Ghost” follows a convict, played by Neeson, who is set for release but is forced to break a terrorist out of prison when his lawyer is kidnapped. The only way out is known only by the lawyer, hence the convict’s involvement. Principal photography is set to begin on September 2023.

Director Neil Jordan, known for his work on “The Crying Game”, “Interview with a Vampire”, and “Greta”, among others, expressed his excitement to explore this unique take on the prison escape genre with Neeson. Moloney, who produced “Breakfast on Pluto” and the Alan Moloney produced drama “Mister John” added that they have put together an elite team to support Jordan’s vision and that the film promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Liam Neeson, who has appeared in some of the most iconic films of recent times such as “Taken”, “Schindler’s List”, and “Batman Begins”, is one of the most recognizable stars today. With over 100 combined film, television, and stage credits, and a career that has grossed over $7 billion worldwide, Neeson is set to star in “Retribution” from director Nimród Antal and Lionsgate. He is represented by Chris Andrews at CAA.

The reunion of Neeson, Jordan, and Moloney is sure to bring their expertise and passion to the project. Principal photography begins in September 2023, and fans of the genre and the cast can look forward to the release of this exciting new film.
