Before this event, the family stayed in the house for 28 days and fled in the middle of the night. The family claims that a malevolent paranormal force drove them out. Annabelle

Annabelle is one of these dolls and made its way into The Conjuring franchise by inspiring the character and movie. She is a Raggedy Anne doll and is said to be extremely haunted. The film does not reflect 100% actual events, but the doll is real and supposedly very haunted. The Strangers
The Strangers, a movie about a couple threatened by a trio of masked home invaders, was inspired by a childhood experience shared by writer/director Bryan Bertino. One night, he was alone at home, and a girl rang his doorbell asking for someone who lived there to help. Later he found out that she had links to a string of robberies in the area. Bertino adapted this creepy account into The Strangers, incorporating details from real-life news reports to expand on some of the story’s more extreme elements.
The Silence of the Lambs
Based on Thomas Harris’s 1988 novel of the same name, this psychological horror and thriller came out in 1991. Despite being a fictional story, it draws upon actual events and serial killers that have plagued our world. According to the book’s writer, many of its characters are inspired by real people, such as Hannibal Lecter, whose inspiration was a convicted doctor, Dr. Salazar, whom the writer met in a Mexican jail. The movie also features Buffalo Bill, a character based mainly on killer Ed Gein.
You can always look further into a scary movie’s story if it is too frightening to watch, but some may keep you up at night.
