The chilling chapter “The Captain’s Log” from Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula has been adapted into a new horror film called The Last Voyage of the Demeter. The movie follows the journey of the merchant ship Demeter, which was hired to transport 50 unmarked wooden crates from Carpathia to London. The film takes viewers on a terrifying journey as strange and deadly events befall the doomed crew, leading to their ultimate demise.

The film features an impressive cast, including Corey Hawkins, Aisling Franciosi, Liam Cunningham, and David Dastmalchian. Corey Hawkins plays the role of Clemens, a doctor who joins the Demeter crew. Aisling Franciosi portrays an unwitting stowaway, while Liam Cunningham plays the ship’s captain, and David Dastmalchian portrays the first mate.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter also includes other talented actors such as Jon Jon Briones, Stefan Kapicic, Nikolai Nikolaeff, and Javier Botet. With such a talented cast, audiences can expect a truly gripping and haunting performance.

The movie is directed by Norwegian horror virtuoso André Øvredal, known for his work on Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark and Trollhunter. The script was written by Bragi F. Schut, Stefan Ruzowitzky, and Zak Olkewicz. The film is produced by Brad Fischer and Oscar®-nominated producer Mike Medavoy and Arnold Messer for Phoenix Pictures. Matthew Hirsch serves as the executive producer.
