What is it about cabins in the woods that attract psychopathic killers? It’s the fresh air isn’t it…stay in the smog folks…you’re safer. For Rose and Harry, a romantic getaway goes awry as a homicidal maniac preys on the secluded lovebirds for their own personal enjoyment…and ours. THE CABIN comes to VOD and DVD this December to give you a up close and personal tour of this “killer” home.

Synopsis: Young American couple Rose and Harry are on their way to visit Harry’s family cabin. The trip doubles as a nostalgic vacation and as a way to rekindle their relationship. But they’re not the only ones that decided to visit the cabin this weekend… The vacation is quickly turned into a living nightmare for Rose and Harry as they meet a vicious sociopath, who invites them into an involuntary game of cat and mouse. ?

The Cabin -Trailer
This trailer has all the elements that entice a viewer to want to watch the film. Good music. Good audio clips and scene choices. There may be hesitation because this type of plot has been filmed and re-filmed so many times, but I am a fan of films that have small casts like this. I think it gives the actors to really show talent and character development. It becomes a very intimate setting and we feel like we are in the cabin with them. And then we become glad we aren’t actually with them when we see someone get hacked to bits.

THE CABIN is directed by Johan Bodell, making his directorial debut. The film, scripted by Erik Kammerland and produced by Alec Trachtenberg of Coast ART Productions and KW Studios, takes you to the rural backwater of the Swedish summer, and on a ride you will never forget. Fear has found a home in THE CABIN. Look for its North American distribution on VOD and DVD December 4th from High Octane Pictures.
