Shepka Productions, the UK-based production company, has announced its latest project in partnership with writer and producer Tom Jolliffe and the popular movie site, Flickering Myth. The three entities will collaborate on the Gothic horror film, The Baby in the Basket.

The film will be set in the 1940s and will tell the story of a mysterious child found abandoned in a wicker basket on the grounds of a remote estate. The plot will revolve around the supernatural events that follow as the characters uncover the sinister past of the child and the estate.

The film will star four talented British scream queens, including Amber Doig-Thorne, Michaela Longden, Elle O’Hara, and Chrissie Wunna. Amber Doig-Thorne is best known for her work in ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’, ‘Return of Krampus’, and ‘Override’. Michaela Longden’s credits include ‘Jack in the Box: Awakening’, ‘The Ghost Within’, and ‘Eating Miss Campbell’. Elle O’Hara has starred in ‘When Darkness Falls’, ‘Memories of Another’, and ‘Tommy’s Honour’. Chrissie Wunna is known for her roles in ‘Dirty Games’, ‘Bambi: The Reckoning’, and ‘Dinosaur Hotel’. The rest of the cast will be announced soon.

Nathan Shepka, the founder of Shepka Productions, will direct the film from a script by Tom Jolliffe. The two previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed thriller ‘When Darkness Falls‘.
