unnamedA Kickstarter campaign has begun for a brand new film that pits Robin Hood against evil vampires who have taken over town. Sherwood Horror offers a new twist on the age-old stories of Robin Hood and his band of theives. The film will tell the story of an ex-con (Rob Locksley) who joins forces with his old hunting buddies to wage war against the vampires who have taken over their town. Borrowing the characters from the Robin Hood lore writer/director, John Regan has dropped the familiar band of merry men into the framework of a contemporary horror setting, creating a new twist on an old legend.

Says Regan, “The tone of Sherwood Horror will be similar to films like Predator, Aliens, The Thing, The Terminator, Lost Boys, Mad Max…and for this project I’ve been Inspired by filmmakers like John Carpenter, John Milius, George Miller and James Cameron.” He continues, “I believe in the script. It’s got strong characters, a universal theme, edge-of-your-seat suspense, killer action and it puts a fresh spin on the Robin Hood legend in an exciting and compelling way. There’s even a few twists.”

unnamed-2The Teaser attracted an A list crew of VFX artists, composer, makeup artist & title designers from LA, London, Paris, Berlin, Vancouver, Madrid, Panama and Morocco, who have (collectively) worked on such films as Captain America: Winter Soldier, Blue Ruin, Skyfall, X-Men: First Class, Splice, Moon, Iron Man 3, Silent Hill, Furious 7, Hercules, Cloud Atlas, Star Wars Rebels, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Battle: Los Angeles, The Great Gatsby, World War Z and more.  The crew worked on the teaser because they believed in the project.
