Vertical Entertainment has recently unveiled the official trailer for ONLY, a survival thriller from director Takashi Doscher. The film also stars Leslie Odom Jr., Freida Pinto, and Chandler Riggs.
Synopsis: After a comet releases a deadly virus that attacks all the women in the world, Eva (Pinto) and Will (Odom Jr.) are forced into hiding from both the illness and the savages who hunt the few surviving women. Trapped inside their over-sterilized apartment, the couple’s relationship and sense of sanity begins to crumble. When Eva’s desperation for a normal life becomes as dangerous as the world outside, the couple escapes their self-imposed quarantine to fight for their lives.
With coronavirus rapidly spreading worldwide, this film is coming out just in time to effectively prey on the public’s fears. The idea itself of the virus only affecting the female population is original and timely (and scares the shit out of me), and I look forward to seeing how this film reflects our current paranoia–which it does pretty well in the trailer alone.
Only will be released in theaters and on demand on March 6th, 2020.
