The Butcher Brothers are back to work on their latest horror film, Consumed, and this time they’ve enlisted the talents of Devon Sawa, known for his roles in ‘Final Destination’ and the Syfy/USA Network series ‘Chucky’. The film follows a married couple on a camping trip, one year after the wife’s cancer remission, who find themselves caught between a madman and a skin-stealing monster. Consumed is directed by Mitchell Altieri and produced by Phil Flores, with XYZ Films executive producing and handling world sales.

The Butcher Brothers, the award-winning directors of the Lionsgate franchise ‘The Hamiltons & The Thompsons’, are back with their latest horror film, ‘Consumed’, and this time they’ve enlisted the talents of Devon Sawa. Sawa, known for his roles in ‘Final Destination’ and the Syfy/USA Network series ‘Chucky’, will be leading the cast of the film.

Directed by Mitchell Altieri and produced by Phil Flores, ‘Consumed’ follows a married couple, played by Mark Famiglietti and Courtney Halverson, on a camping trip to celebrate cancer remission. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when they find themselves trapped between a wild madman and a skin-stealing monster.

XYZ Films is executive producing the film and will also handle world sales, with a promo set to be shown at the upcoming Marché du Film in Cannes.

The Butcher Brothers’ filmmaking has been celebrated at top-tier festivals such as SXSW, Berlin, Sitges, Fantasia, and Fantastic, and seen on the biggest screens and platforms worldwide. Jeffrey Allard, who has produced over 20 films grossing over $250 million, is also producing Consumed.

“When I first read the script for Consumed, I was excited about the challenges it presented. Its characters not only have to face a terrifying creature stalking the woods but individually, they are also forced to struggle with their inner demons brought on by true-to-life tribulations such as cancer or grieving loss. I set out to visually adapt a film that balanced these situations we may all face at one time or another, coupled with the exhilaration and sheer horror of being lost deep in the wilderness as something unknown tracks your every move,” said Mitchell Altieri, the film’s director.

Consumed is set to be another horror hit from the Butcher Brothers and is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Devon Sawa’s involvement only adds to the anticipation, and horror fans everywhere will be eagerly waiting to see what terrifying surprises are in store in this upcoming film.
