During Monster Pictures market outings to secure films for their Monster Fest 2016 they managed to secure the rights to Raw, french director Julia Ducournau’s feature film debut. Raw is about a vegetarian who takes a dark turn following a carnivorous college hazing ritual.

Raw posterRAW will be joining the list of films acquired by Monster Pictures at their annual Monster Fest later this year. The films Monster Picture’s has acquired include: Argyris Papadimitropoulos’ Suntan, Danny Perez’ Antibirth, and Jim Hosking’s The Great Strangler. Monster Pictures is also the ANZ distributor of Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay crime thriller Psycho Raman, Nicolas Pesce’s directorial debut The Eyes of my Mother, Billy O’Brian’s I am not a Serial Killer starring Christopher lloyd and Max Records, Rohit Mittal’s feature debut Autohead, supernatural horror Satanic, slasher The Windwill Massacre, from the producers of Frankenstein’s Army, starring Noah Taylor and a highly anticipated horror anthology to be announced very soon.

This will be Suntan, Psycho Raman, and The Eyes of my Mother Australian screen debut at the Sydney Film Festival June 8-19th.
