Campers have yet to learn the dangers of staying in what is very clearly a creepy abandoned campground. And horror fans everywhere are so thankful for that fact. All signs point to certain death and yet campers turn a blind eye, set up shop, and experience horrors that couldn’t be any more predicted if they were written and set in stone in the center of camp. Up next in the creepy camp genre is Australia-based horror film Ashburn Waters and the trailer has been released to the American masses in anticipation of the Australian theater release and global sale release.

What is killing the campers at Ashburn Waters?

ASHBURN WATERS Official Teaser Trailer (2019)

I think the film has promise. There is a special place in the horror genre for campground slasher movies. At first glance some of the effects or cinematography aren’t incredibly eye catching but show enough intrigue to have my interest. One of the most diving factors between forgettable and unforgettable horror films is the storytelling. I think the makings of a good story are here, and enough has been left out of the trailer to leave the viewer wondering what malice is stalking Ashburn Waters.
