In a surprising twist, Disney’s iconic character Mickey Mouse enters the public domain. Director Jamie Bailey has unveiled the thrilling trailer for his upcoming horror comedy, Mickey’s Mouse Trap.

The storyline revolves around Alex’s 21st birthday celebration, taking a dark turn when she finds herself trapped in an amusement arcade during a late shift. What was meant to be a joyous surprise from her friends quickly transforms into a deadly game orchestrated by a masked killer dressed as none other than Mickey Mouse himself. Now, Alex must navigate the sinister traps set by the murderous Mickey to survive the night.

Director Jamie Bailey shared his perspective on the unconventional project, stating, “We just wanted to have fun with it all. I mean, it’s Steamboat Willie’s Mickey Mouse murdering people. It’s ridiculous. We ran with it and had fun doing it, and I think it shows.”

The film boasts a talented cast, including Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, Damir Kovic, Mackenzie Mills, Nick Biskupek, and Simon Phillips. Darren Morze takes charge of the music score, with Paul Whitney, Mark Popejoy, Alexander Gausman, and Andrew Agopsowicz producing, and Filmcore’s Mem Ferda serving as the Co Producer. While the film awaits a confirmed release date, it is anticipated to hit the screens in March 2024.
