Los Angeles-based high-end Gothic fashion house, Micheline Pitt Design, known for their hauntingly beautiful creations, has joined forces with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to craft a Fall/Winter 2023-2024 Apparel and Accessories Collection that draws inspiration from the captivating world of the iconic vampire tale.
The collection, named “La Femme en Noir,” is more than just a mere fashion line. It’s a homage to the mesmerizing opulence of the film, a tribute to a shared fascination with the eerie and the alluring. The co-owner and designer of La Femme en Noir, Micheline Pitt, shared her excitement, “Bram Stoker’s Dracula is truly a dream collaboration for me. I still remember seeing the film at a local movie theater for my birthday when I was a kid. As a Romanian, Pitt’s affinity for the vampire narrative runs deep, particularly for the tale of Dracula himself. This collection becomes an exploration of her cultural heritage intertwined with the film’s captivating costume designs. “Getting to design a collection that is so entwined in my heritage is a unique and rare opportunity,” Pitt adds.
Joining her in this creative endeavor is co-owner and designer Lynh Haaga, who expressed equal enthusiasm. “1992’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula! The film’s amplification of character through costume is brilliant. We felt this movie was a perfect project for us considering Micheline’s Romanian heritage and my East Asian culture,” Haaga shares. The collection takes on an even deeper dimension as these designers bring their cultural backgrounds into the mix.
