Shockfest Film Festival just celebrated its 13th year anniversary at Shockfest Ghost Ship, the virtual interactive experience hosted by Horror Icon Bill Oberst Jr.  Shockfest puts a heavy focus on supporting the filmmaker community and this year, they have award 5 Cash Prizes of $666 to their award winners, alongside and additional cash prize to the winner of their Filmmaker Tip Competition.  On the day of Shockfest Ghostship, Festival Director Jeffrey Macabre announced they will be offering 2 additional cash prizes to their filmmakers on their livestream taking place Friday December 17th at 4:30 pm PST on their Facebook (facebook.com/shockfesthorrorfactory) and Youtube pages (https://www.youtube.com/user/shockfilmfest)

Award winners for Shockfest Film Festival include Juliet Landau’s innovative and genre-bending film, A Place Among The Dead, The Mahal Empire’s Death Count Directed by Michael Su and starring Costas Mandylor, Michael Madsen and Devanny Pinn, Michael Schiff’s The History of Metal and Horror and P.M. Lipscomb’s thrilling and darkly comical new feature, Clowning.  However, the entire lineup of Shockfest Ghost Ship is an incredible collection showcasing some of the most innovative and fascinating films of all genres, including Drama, Comedy, Fantasy, SciFi, Documentary and Experimental, alongside a healthy selection of horror films from around the world.  This year, Silver Bullet laurels were distributed to Official Selections and Golden Stake Awards to Honorable Mentions.  Shockfest Ghost Ship is brought in part by the Horror Gift Boutique Nightmare Toys (https://www.nightmaretoys.com) and Gorilla Radio Smoke Shop of Las Vegas, NV (https://www.gorillaradioonline.com) and their festival offers a play-on-demand format, allowing audience to enjoy the movies on their own schedule for a limited time.
