One element that Horror films are known for their, more often than not, are the original scores. Could you imagine Halloween without John Carpenter’s classic synth music or Psycho without the strings in the shower? Composers are the unsung heros that can make or break a scary mood. One film that we are excited about is Camera Obscura.

SYNOPSIS : A veteran war photographer with PTSD sees imminent deaths in his developed photos, questioning his already fragile sanity and putting the lives of those he loves in danger.

Today, Chiller Films shared with us a clip of music from Camera Obscura composed by Steve Moore that we quite enjoyed.  More has composed for several horror films including Adam Wingard’s “Phase 1 Clinical Trials” vignette in V/H/S/2 as well as Wingard’s 2014 hit THE GUEST. Moore then went on to compose for the sci-fi horror film THE MIND’S EYE and 2016’s DON’T KNOCK TWICE.

He most recently composed the score for Joe Lynch’s SXSW favorite MAYHEM and Chiller Films’ CAMERA OBSCURA. He is also one half of the internationally popular synth wave duo Zombi and guitarist for the progressive rock band Titan.

Camera Obscura is IN THEATERS: June 9, 2017 , AVAILABLE ON VOD AND DIGITAL HD: June 13, 2017
