At under 6 minutes long, WRATH OF THE MINITAUR packs a powerful punch of zany, bizarre fun and horror. Haley stays up too late one night watching her favorite show, “Tales From The Outer Zone”, and falls asleep during the show. From that night on, every full moon, something bizarre and unexplainable happens to her. She wakes up in unexpected and seemingly impossible places – in the park, in the trash, on a go cart flying around the track. Finally she has enough, and decides to film herself at night to see what happens. The mystery only deepens from there!

WRATH OF THE MINITAUR is a wild ride from start to finish. In a way it almost feels more like a set up for an amazing haunt experience or escape room than it does a film – which in spite of how it sounds, works in the film’s favor. A skeleton crew, a main cast of one, and loads of green screen and digital atmospheres could leave a lot to be desired when trying to tell a story like this, but somehow the intimacy of the film combined with the quirky story make an endearing combination that I totally fell for. The atmosphere is a key point of WRATH OF THE MINITAUR, and the moodiness contrasts perfectly with colorful, quirky Kristal Theron as Haley.

It’s always a treat to see a new play on the “what happens at night” or “beware the full moon” tropes. The mystery of WRATH OF THE MINITAUR is left open ended, and rightfully so. With a story this bizarre it would be hard to tie this up. Instead the audience is allowed to let their imagination run wild and enjoy this kooky roller coaster ride. While WRATH OF THE MINITAUR is far from a great film, it has undeniable charm.
