You’re on your own with that one. I’m talking about makeup. Yes, I said makeup! STOP SQUIRMING you macho, macho men. I can see the work you do on that combination T-zone, Bub. You ain’t fooling anyone here, and you can bet your sweet bippy that this weeks HorrorGram has to do with special effects makeup; Horror makeup.
Do you need a throat slit? Do you need to peal the flesh from your co-star’s million dollar face? What about a good old fashioned maiming? How about having all these titillating things without all the nasty legal repercussions? Well, you wont need to call Saul. While peeping around the depths and dark corners of the gram, Lauren caught my eye with her gruesome special effects (she still hasn’t given it back yet, now that I mention it). I think you will agree with me that her attention to bloody, yet beautiful detail, makes her stand out in a sea of up and coming and already established artists. Clean off your spectacles, because here we go, horror fans.
My Bloody Valentine. There’s no better way to say, “I loathe you.” than ripping your lovers face off in the shape of a heart and tactfully pining it back into place.
Baby, It’s Cold Outside. I can hear a collective group of mothers at this very moment, telling their kids to, “put a god damn jacket on!” It’s not exactly beach body weather right now, and if anyone asks you about mine, it’s bulking season. Ya prick. Honestly though, this frozen effect is so beautiful I want to lick it in hopes my tongue sticks to it (think, A Christmas Story). Lauren, do you want to build a snowman?
Kiss me! Pucker up, because this is going to be the best smooch you’ve had in a long time. Some people think the secret to a great kiss is a lot of spit. Others will tell you the key to sucking the best face is to run your tongue over your intended’s teeth and gums (the french kiss is soooo 2015). I bet Lauren’s clients get invites to all the elite Hollywood make out parties with this one.
Raise your hand if you’re sure! We love high fives. The harder the better, right? but isn’t that just another metaphor for most of the things we enjoy in life? Well, this is super creepy, and WE LOVE IT. Lauren, if we could, we would applaud the hell out of you… but these wounds are fresh, and we’ve been squeezing lemons.
