TheTalkingDeadChris Hardwick just broke some amazing news. While hosting The Talking Dead on AMC (Sundays 10/9C) it was announced that a permanent, year-round walk through attraction is under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. The new walk through will be based on the ever-popular Walking Dead franchise and fill the empty space left by the parks previous walkthrough, Universal’s House of Horror.

Details are scant at the moment but we expect a press release from Universal Studios Hollywood regarding the attraction. The Walking Dead has been a staple at the parks annual Halloween Horror Nights event, easily polling as the top maze of the night by guests time and time again.  It seems a no-brainer that they would then capitalize on this popularity when there was a void left after the removal of the Universal’s House of Horrors attraction which featured classic Universal Monsters.

TheTalkingDead2The Talking Dead is a popular show that follows each new episode of The Walking Dead on AMC, with a recap and live interactions with the shows stars.  This week Hardwick was joined by Melissa McBride (Carol) a surprise cast member, and director Paul Feig. They discussed Episode 13 of the show’s 6th season.

We can’t convey how excited we are about this information.  As haunt fans, the wait from the end of Halloween to the next haunt season is at times unbearable.  It will be wonderful to have an oasis of terror at our disposal once again at Universal Studios Hollywood.
