In their continued effort to ramp the scares up to 11, Midsummer Scream has announced that they will be working with FX veterans Bone Yard Effects. Founded in 1993, Bone Yard has worked on a number of big-budget Hollywood films including “Adaptation”, “Scary Movie 2”, “Shallow Hal” and the Matt Stone & Trey Parker classic, “Orgazmo”. Outside of Hollywood, they’ve done work for the stage and small screen, and served as the department head for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights Hair and Makeup division from 2006-2013.

Bone Yard is set to have a significant presence at the event, creating monsters to roam the show floor and the Hall of Shadows haunt experience, along with manning what is being described as a “sprawling” booth. The theme of their booth this year is Alice in Terrorland, and guests will be invited to take a photo with Alice and Rancid Rabbit, Bone Yard’s twisted spin on those classic Lewis Carroll characters, with photography provided by Dstar Photography.

In addition to the photo op portion of their booth, they will also be selling their excellent FX Faces line of makeup and prosthetics, so be sure to check that out to get a head start on costume planning for fall. If all of that wasn’t enough to pique your interest for what Bone Yard has in store, they have also announced that David Naughton, accomplished actor most well-known to horror fans for his starring role as David Kessler in “An American Werewolf in London” will be available all weekend to sign autographs.
