As a massive Stephen King fan, I am excited for all that is to come: The Dark Tower premieres in August, The Mist is covering AMC, It will shortly be crawling out of the sewers, and JJ Abrams is traveling to Castle Rock.

And now, one of my other favorite books from King, Mr. Mercedes, will be on AT&T Audience Network soon!

Based on King’s 2014 best-selling detective novel, the new series is a throwback to the hard-boiled detective stories of the 1920s and 30s, but of course, with a modern twist. Detective Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) is on the verge of retirement, opting for an isolated life, until he’s baited by Brady Hartsfield’s (Harry Treadaway) antics and threats to kill innocent lives.

Check out the trailer below, and don’t forget to catch Mr. Mercedes on Wednesday, August 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the Audience Network (exclusively available through DirecTV).
