This week can’t get any better for me.

Not only did we get our first look at images from The X-Files revival the other day, but now we get to see the very first image of Bruce Campbell from Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Bruce Campbell. As Ash. For the first time in over 20 years.

Come on. This is awesome.

Campbell is reprising his famous role from the The Evil Dead series. Though he has reprised the role in a few video games over the years, this is the first time Campbell has strapped the chainsaw back on his hand in the flesh.

Entertainment Weekly once again nailed the scoop, and spoke to Sam Raimi, the mastermind behind the franchise, about the upcoming show.

“Ash is once again inadvertently responsible for the coming apocalypse,” Raimi said. “But he’s also still a really good monster fighter. So, he’s also going to be kicking some deadite buttocks, if you’ll pardon the French.”

“It’s The Searchers with carnage and mayhem,” Campbell added. “I’m relegated a little bit into the John Wayne mode these days with my team—the young, virile, evil fighters who will pair up with Ash and take on this nemesis: this never ending, ever evolving nemesis.”

Ash vs. Evil Dead will premiere on Starz in 2015. And I cannot wait.
