We just got the teaser trailer for the second season of Fear The Walking Dead. While the first season of the series was a slow-burn the new season promises to ratchet up the gore and the tensions from without as the struggling family witnesses the impending zombie apocalypse. Executive producer Robert Kirkman promises that this new season, “Will not be zombie free.” Kirkman, whose comic book “The Walking Dead” is the basis of the The Walking Dead is joined as producer by Greg Nicotero, Gale Anne Hurd, and David Alpert.

Synopsis:

Set in Los Angeles, California, the series follows a dysfunctional family composed of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark, her English teacher boyfriend Travis Manawa, her daughter Alicia, her drug-addicted son Nick, and Travis’ son from a previous marriage, Chris, at the onset of the zombie apocalypse.

Season 1 closed on Strand taking the three families to live in his yacht off the coast.  Kirk man told Entertainment Weekly in an interview, “Anybody who’s concerned about there being not enough zombies because they’re on the water –because I’ve seen some people concerned about that — shouldn’t have any worries there,” Kirkman went on to say, “There’s definitely going to be a lot of intense action and a lot of awesome boat stuff. Despite the fact that zombies can’t walk on water and can’t swim, there will be plenty of zombies to be had,” Please oh PLEASE let there be a Zombie/Shark battle!!!

 

The cast includes Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey. Fear The Walking Dead premieres April 10th on AMC.
