The film just screened at the Cannes Film Festival to a rapturous reception. Just look at some of the quotes pulled from Twitter!

As the reviews for this latest exercise in self-indulgence begin to trickle in, the question we all have for the Cannes audience is, “What did you expect?” Screened out of competition this latest effort to incite from Von Trier is nothing new. He is a provocateur. He has always been a button pusher. The man jokingly said he understood Hitler. Walkouts at Cannes are a renegade badge of honor that no amount of studio marketing money could buy and Von Trier knows it.

Frankly, we can’t wait to feast our eyes on The House that Jack Built.
