Make-up effects master Tom Devlin has announced today the news that his fan-favorite creation from SyFy’s Face Off is getting its own movie, TEDDY TOLD ME TO. The independent horror-comedy was written by Vincent Cusimano and directed by Devlin in his feature directing debut. The film will follow a couple who ignore local legends and decide to invest in an abandoned haunt in hopes of bringing scary fun back to their community. Not long after opening, the body count begins and it’s a race against time to find the killer before it’s too late.

Teddy Told Me To

Expected for release sometime this year, TEDDY TOLD ME TO is a celebration of movie monsters, practical effects, and the haunt community. The independent production was shot at Devlin’s own Monster Museum in Boulder City Nevada. The film will star Michael Shields as the titular monster, Teddy. Also starring are Kamara Cole and Topher Hansson as the darkly optimistic couple that opens the haunted house. Rounding out the cast are a host of horror icons including Felissa Rose, C.J. Graham, and Peter Stickles.
