scareLAThe convention season is already upon us and we have a huge wave of horror-themed cons coming our way.  we covered the wonderful Days of the Dead this past weekend, we will have Monsterpalooza later this month, then we will be headed straight for ScareLA. Yes, ScareLA, the annual Halloween convention is hitting the Pasadena Convention Center like a tornado of spooky fun and the tickets are already on sale.

The convention, which will return to the Pasadena Convention Center on Saturday, Aug. 7 and Sunday, Aug. 8, announced that  general admission and VIP tickets are on sale now. So if you know you’re going to go, This is the perfect time to grab your tickets and plan on a spooktacular time.

Details are still a little murky in regards what is being planned for 2016? Judging from last year convention goers can plan on browsing the terror-filled aisles with “over 200 scare vendors, makers, artists…” as well as on-site haunted attractions, complete with effects and actors.

The event will feature…

  • 100+ hours of panels, presentations, sneak peaks and unveils
  • Performances by horror themed artists and musicians
  • Makeup, set building, costume creation, animatronics and other demos
  • Hands-on workshops taught by top horror industry professionals for all ages
  • Screenings of attraction walk-throughs and rising horror filmmakers
  • Costume party, dark cosplay and creepy crawlers
  • Interactive experiences, games, roaming monsters and more!

There will also be classes, presentations, and how-tis that teach everyday haunt lovers how to create the scares for themselves.
